This Privacy Policy explains how Rocket Fuel ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Rocket Fuel mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
Baseline is operated by Rocket Fuel. For the purposes of the EU/UK GDPR, Rocket Fuel is the "data controller" of personal information processed through the App. The App identifier is com.getrocketfuel.app.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
2.1 Information you provide directly
Account information (if you create an account): name, email address, password, and profile details.
Authentication data: credentials you use to sign in, including via third-party sign-in providers such as Apple or Google.
User content: any information, text, images, files, or other content you submit, upload, or create within the App.
Communications: messages you send to support, feedback, or survey responses.
Payment information (if applicable): processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Device information: device model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, language settings, time zone, and mobile carrier.
App usage data: features used, screens viewed, taps, session duration, crashes, and performance metrics.
Log data: IP address, access timestamps, and diagnostic data.
Approximate location: derived from IP address. Precise location is only collected if you grant the App location permission.
Cookies and similar technologies: the App or its embedded web views may use local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics.
2.3 Information from third parties
Analytics and crash reporting providers: aggregate usage and stability data.
Advertising and attribution partners: where applicable, to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
2.4 Health and Biomarker Data
Because Rocket Fuel is a health intelligence app, we collect and process the following categories of health-related data:
Blood biomarker data: lab test results you manually enter or upload (e.g. cholesterol, glucose, HbA1c, thyroid markers, vitamin levels, hormones, and other blood panel values).
Health metrics: body weight, height, BMI, and other physical measurements you provide.
Health history: any notes, symptoms, diagnoses, period cycle data or other health context you choose to record.
Workout Logs to calculate your strain.
Step count data to sync your daily movement and activity.
Connected health platform data (if applicable): data synced from Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or other integrations you authorize — which may include activity, sleep, heart rate, and additional health metrics.
How we use Health Data:
To provide your personalized biomarker dashboard and insights.
To generate trends, comparisons, and health summaries within the App.
To support features you explicitly request (e.g., sharing results with a healthcare professional through the App).
How we protect Health Data:
Health data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
We do not use your health data for advertising purposes.
We do not sell your health data to third parties.
Health data is only shared with service providers strictly necessary to operate the App (e.g., cloud storage), under strict data processing agreements.
Your control:
You can delete your health data at any time from within the App or by contacting us (see Section 13).
3. Permissions we may request
Depending on features you use, the App may request the following device permissions. You can grant or revoke these in your device settings at any time.
Camera — to capture photos or videos within the App.
Photo library / media — to upload or save images.
Microphone — for voice input or audio recording features.
Location — to provide location-based features.
Notifications — to send you app and account-related alerts.
Contacts — only if a feature requires it and you opt in.
Health & Fitness data (Apple Health / Google Health Connect) — to read and display health metrics you choose to sync. We only access data categories you explicitly authorize.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and operate the App, including authenticating you, syncing data, and delivering features you request.
Improve and develop the App, including debugging, performance monitoring, analytics, and product research.
Personalize your experience, including remembering preferences and showing relevant content.
Communicate with you, including service announcements, security alerts, support replies, and (with your consent where required) marketing.
Ensure security and prevent abuse, including detecting fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms and Conditions.
Comply with legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests and enforcing our agreements.
Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR:
Contract — to provide the App and services you request.
Legitimate interests — to secure, improve, and analyze the App.
Consent — for optional analytics, marketing, and certain device permissions, where required.
Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
Service providers and processors that help us operate the App (such as cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email delivery, and payment processing). These providers are contractually limited to processing data on our behalf.
Third-party platforms you connect, such as sign-in providers — only as needed to enable the integration.
Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Rocket Fuel, our users, or others.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality safeguards.
With your consent for any other purpose disclosed at the time.

6. International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and the UK Addendum.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed to:
Provide the App and your account;
Comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements;
Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and routine security reviews. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You can contact us using the details in Section 14. EU residents may also lodge a complaint with their national supervisory authority.
10. Children's privacy
Baseline is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Push notifications
If you enable push notifications, we send them via Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). You can disable them in your device settings at any time.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice (e.g., in-app notification or email).
